Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Elite Security Guard - Armed Driver Part Time in San Antonio, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

DayTimeTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, checking for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and support during alarms, medical events, and/or other urgent situations in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card for Texas only.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
