High School Art Teacher Orchard Farm High School is seeking a certified Art teacher to join our team! Our mission is to empower each learner to excel in diverse communities. Located in St. Charles, MO with a current enrollment of approximately 2,600 students, our district is situated between Highway 370 and the western border of Alton, MO, where the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers meet. Teachers are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor degree or higher Appropriate Missouri Teaching Certificate (Art K‑12) Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations and laws Knowledge of subject‑matter content and assessment strategies Knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form Ability to follow written and oral communication Ability to problem solve Position Responsibilities Provide instruction to students Create and implement a classroom disciplinary plan Create lesson plans and activities to implement and supplement instruction Participate in building, grade‑level, and subject‑area committees Participate in professional development activities Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades and discipline Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and other educational concerns Participate as a member of an IEP team, 504 team or other student assistance teams as requested Implement special educational plans such as 504 plans, individual educational programs, and individual health plans Report suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination and harassment as directed by Board policy Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher Subject‑area teachers may have additional duties and responsibilities Additional Position Information New high school facility (opened January 2024) Additional club sponsorships and/or coaching positions are also available Required Application Materials Current Resume Transcripts Certificate(s) 3 Letters of Recommendation (preferred) Salary Schedule Salary is based on years of experience teaching and degree per OFSD policy and procedure.
