Mb Staffing Services is seeking a Laboratory Analyst with direct, hands-on wastewater testing experience to support critical environmental and public health operations. This is not a general lab role, we are specifically targeting professionals who understand the complexities of wastewater systems, regulatory compliance, and advanced analytical methodologies.

Responsibilities:

You will play a vital role in ensuring water quality and environmental safety through precise, data-driven laboratory analysis:

• Perform advanced wastewater testing including BOD, COD, TSS, nutrients, pH, and microbiological assays (e.g., E. coli)
• Execute wet chemistry and microbiological techniques with a high degree of accuracy and reproducibility
• Collect, preserve, and process samples in accordance with strict QA/QC and regulatory protocols
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and automated sampling systems
• Maintain detailed, audit-ready documentation and input data into LIMS systems
• Prepare reagents, media, and standard solutions to support ongoing testing
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and laboratory accreditation requirements

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field + 3+ years of wastewater lab experience
  OR
• Associate degree and 5+ years of direct wastewater laboratory experience
• Demonstrated expertise in wastewater analytical testing and environmental compliance
• Strong foundation in wet chemistry and microbiology

Preferred:

• Experience working in a NELAP-accredited laboratory
• Familiarity with environmental regulatory frameworks and reporting standards
• Ability to obtain Wastewater Laboratory Analyst I certification within 18 months
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in varied environments
