Position: Litigation Investigator

Location: Melville, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time Onsite Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000

Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Generating lists of potential witnesses by researching numerous databases for information.
  • Interviewing potential witnesses.
  • Writing up relevant memorandums.
  • Conducting background searches on companies and individuals.
  • Conducting searches for assets, employment, court document retrieval, news articles, business profiles and history, SEC filings, financial statements, professional licenses and other important information.
  • Conducting other computer and internet searches requested by attorneys.

Qualifications

Education and Prior Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience required.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to produce written work product.
  • Proficiency in Internet research.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ethical responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven work ethic.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Excellent interpersonal etiquette.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a desk and in front f a computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to be in the Melville NY office every weekday.

Salary: $120,000 - $125,000 annually and competitive benefits package offered.
