Description We are seeking aNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join ourOrthopedic Surgery team in Beaumont, TX. This role includes acombination of surgical first assist responsibilities and outpatient clinic duties, withno inpatient coverage required. The ideal candidate will have orthopedic experience and either possessfirst assist experienceor bewilling to obtain first assist training. Key ResponsibilitiesServe asfirst assistin orthopedic surgical proceduresProvide outpatient clinic care including post-operative and follow-up visitsEvaluate and manage musculoskeletal conditions in a clinic settingOrder and interpret imaging and diagnostic studiesPerform in-office procedures such as joint injections, splinting, or casting as appropriateCollaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons and clinic staff to ensure continuity of careEducate patients on treatment plans, surgical recovery, and rehabilitation expectationsMaintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMRQualificationsCurrent Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantNational certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)Previous orthopedic or surgical experience preferredFirst assist experience required OR willingness to obtain first assist trainingStrong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in both clinic and OR settings
