Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

As a Part-Time Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our guests by maintaining high cleanliness standards in guest rooms. We are committed to providing an exceptional experience for everyone visiting our establishment.

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES

  • Show a strong commitment to delivering the best experience for our guests and fellow staff members.
  • Thoroughly clean assigned guest rooms following company standards and procedures.
  • Keep housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas in pristine condition while in use.
  • Restock housekeeping carts and cart rooms as needed or instructed by management.
  • Report maintenance issues directly to the front desk or manager on duty.
  • Notify the front desk and manager on duty of any unclaimed guest property in check-out rooms.
  • Assist guests with any reasonable requests when possible.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training through Extended Stay University.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Support cleaning efforts in additional areas of the hotel as assigned, which may include the associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the management team.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to remain stationary, move around the hotel, and handle and detect various items.
  • Ability to access low areas, work at heights, balance, bend, kneel, or crouch as needed.
  • Occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Be attentive to safety when detecting items in guest rooms.
  • Work in various outdoor weather conditions (weather may vary by hotel).
  • Occasionally deal with wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and potential hazards.
  • Typical noise levels range from moderate to loud in the work environment.
  • May require traveling to assist at nearby locations if needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • No prior experience or training necessary; we will provide the support you need.
