Job Description
Requirement: Applicants must have Medical Assistant experience OR completion of a Medical Assistant training/certification program. CNA, EMT, and front desk-only experience do not meet qualifications for this role.
We are seeking a reliable, motivated Medical Assistant for a primarily clinical role, with cross-training at the front desk to provide occasional coverage and support overall clinic workflow. This position plays a key role in delivering a seamless patient experience from check-in through clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical (Primary Focus):
- Prepare patients for visits, including vital signs and medical history documentation
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient instructions
- Administer vaccines and perform point-of-care testing
- Support phone triage and patient communication
- Ensure charts, labs, and reports are complete prior to visits
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
Front Desk Support (As Needed):
- Assist with patient check-in/check-out during high-volume times or staff absences
- Schedule appointments and support provider calendars
- Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries
- Verify insurance and support basic billing processes
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
