Your tasks As a professional helicopter pilot in the air rescue service, you and your crew fly to the scene of the incident to pick up the patient after initial medical treatment and transport them to the hospital for further treatment. Depending on your experience profile and previous training, you will be deployed as a PICUS or commander in the flight service. As part of your work, you will support the ATO (Approved Training Organisations EASA) or take on special flight operations tasks such as PICUS instructor, flight safety manager, etc. The development, for example, to become a station manager or to take on further management tasks within ADAC Luftrettung gGmbH offers you prospects for the future. You need 500 hours of total flight experience on helicopters for a position as a co‑pilot (PICUS). Your qualifications will be confirmed by a positive recommendation from the expert panel during the aptitude test at DLR in Hamburg. Open communication skills and conflict resolution skills are among your strengths and have a positive impact on teamwork. Your top priority is your safety awareness. You ensure that the patient and the crew reach their destination safely.
